My Story

My name is Reid Chamberlin. I'm a father of four awesome boys who have inspired me to try many new things with them. Blacksmithing was one of those experiences. My oldest, now in college, took a blacksmithing class while at Boy Scout camp. When he got home, he was very excited. To help fuel that interest and excitement, I built him a small shop and would learn something at night to teach him the next time he was out there. Over the next couple of years, his interest shifted to electronics and programing as he joined a couple robotics programs. In 2022, I participated in an entrepreneurs program with the VA. That is when Reideo Ranch was formed. I love being able to create useful art while preserving a historic craft.

What's the name mean? Well, Reideo is nickname my family came up with and my kids thought was really funny. When we started getting livestock, my boys called our developing farm Reideo Ranch.

Other things about me... I am an Army Veteran, joined at 17 and reached the rank of SSG in my first 8 year enlistment. I have 11 years service in total. I served in Iraq in 2005 as a door gunner and crew chief on Blackhawk helicopters. After getting out of the Army, I got into manufacturing. I have over 15 years in manufacturing which has been leveraged in setting up my shop and developing my blacksmithing processes. Let me leverage my experience to make something special for you.
